NCC Education Attends Prestigious Event at the House of Lords
TWO members of the NCC Education team were honoured to be invited to the House of Lords for a prestigious dinner last month by Lord Faulkner of Worcester on behalf of the University of Worcester. The evening was organised in order to celebrate higher education in the UK and consider its future prospects.
Gareth Evans, Director, Academic Division and David Thomas, Manager, Partner Relations at NCC Education were privileged to enjoy the historic surroundings and be able to meet well-regarded contemporaries in the education industry and also listen to speeches by His Royal Highness the Duke of Gloucester and the Vice Chancellor of the University of Worcester, Professor David Green.
The dinner was held to celebrate the success of the University of Worcester, which works in partnership with NCC Education. Over the past five years the university, along with its partners, governors and friends, have worked tirelessly to produce outstanding results and become the fastest growing university in the UK. This year, applications to study at the University will again set an all-time record with applications increasing three times faster than the national average.
By working in partnership with the University of Worcester, NCC Education provides a route whereby holders of the NCC Education Postgraduate Diploma can study for an MBA or other Masters programme with the University of Worcester. The arrangement involves students spending two weeks at the university’s campus and the remainder of their time developing a dissertation supported by remote supervision.
“We were delighted to be invited to the event at the House of Lords,” said David Thomas. “The dinner was a fantastic opportunity to network with people from all areas of the education industry and to build relationships and also discuss ideas of how to proceed and push higher education further. The event was also a great way to create awareness of NCC Education and the great work that we do.”
