Joy chose to study at IAT as they offered NCC Education programmes at an affordable price and more importantly, were recognised by British universities. Joy also believed that an NCC Education qualification would give her a well rounded grounding in various aspects of computer studies.

On completion of the IDCS programme, Joy then progressed to the IADCS. During her studies she became a Roll of Honour student and was awarded a High Achievers Certificate for the Africa region. Joy commented on her time as a student by saying “There was a lot of support from both NCC Education and my centre. The NCC Education curriculum was also hands-on and through practical and lab based sessions, concepts came alive”.

Joy’s success in her studies led her to apply to study in the UK at the University of Huddersfield to undertake a Bachelors Degree in Computing and Internet Systems, where she graduated in 2009 with an outstanding First Class Honours.

Currently Joy is studying part-time for an MSc in Computer Based Information Systems at Strathmore University in Nairobi, in the hope of positioning herself strategically for a more senior position in the IT related job market. She also works as a Tutorial Lecturer at the Institute of Advanced Technology, Nairobi.
