Spotlight on...Xiaomin Xue

Xiaomin Xue has completed her IFY with flying colours and has progressed onto the IDB programme. She has high academic aspirations which will surely lead her onto a successful career path. Upon receiving her award Xiaomin Xue stated how overwhelmed she was to have won such a prestigious prize. “I have always dreamed of mastering English,” she said. “I have been absolute in pursuing my dream since then. This is my motivation.”

Upon completion of her Master’s Xiaomin Xue will work for a large company to gain much needed experience which she hopes will lead to her owning her own business in the future. She would love to study her degree and Master’s in Hong Kong, as it is the financial hub of the world and is close to her home town. IFY and IDB programmes have provided her with the essential skills and knowledge, including accounting, management and marketing. She cannot wait to apply the knowledge learnt into further study and then one day into her career. “NCC Education programmes are up to date and the more we progress the more the programmes become positively challenging.”

Xiaomin Xue thanks her teachers and the centre immensely for her achievements. She is extremely impressed with the quality of teaching at GZIT and the facilities they provide. Every year they allow their students to give suggestions on how to improve their college, making it a pleasant place to study. They offer the students the chance to improve their English skills by organising various in depth English competitions. These competitions assist with the development of students’ English language skills and complement the NCC Education programmes.

Xiaomin Xue’s advice to other students:”Research the topics covered in the lectures beforehand, ensuring you understand the topic fully. After the lecture, revision is needed!”
