Spotlight on Kaushini Haputhanthri

From a young age Kaushini Haputhanthri had an interest in computing. Her first educational step was what is now named Computer Pioneers, at Gateway College. After also completing an IDCL, Kaushini decided that she would pursue her education in IT with NCC Education. “After carrying out a thorough analysis on all other degree programmes that were available, it was evident that this programme had the best variety of subjects, covering all aspects of computing, with the best flexibility and timescale to complete each and every level of it.” Kaushini knew that NCC Education qualifications are globally recognised, and decided to continue her education at Gateway due to the high level of lecturer support, the fantastic facilities and the student friendly environment.

According to Kaushini, Gateway Centre for Information Technology is the “best educational institution on the island of Sri Lanka”; with well furnished computer labs with an extremely fast uninterrupted broadband connection, with easy access to workstations without restrictions, a fantastic, well equipped library. She felt that the lecturers were “highly qualified and equally supportive”, and the whole college had a student friendly environment where the needs of every student were considered.

Whilst studying, Kaushini dreamt of becoming a Software Engineer, with this hopefully leading to her becoming a successful Solutions Manager. After completing her online degree with the University of Wales she was headhunted by a Swedish Software Development Company, and appointed as a Software Engineer. NCC Education helped her “realise and achieve her dreams…it had already been recognised as an excellent qualification around the globe, and within a few days of completion of it, had many job opportunities”.
