Graduates Celebrate Their Outstanding Academic Performance
Mr Jerome Gasana, NCC Education Coordinator at KIST
MORE than a hundred students recently graduated at Rwanda’s Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), which is the first technology-focused institution of higher education to be created by the Rwandan government.
Students were honoured at the centre’s 9th prestigious graduation ceremony on the 24th March 2011. The 111 NCC Education students were congratulated for completing their International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies (IADCS) in front of a proud crowd including, family, friends and members of the NCC Education team.
Five exceptional students also received accolades for their outstanding performances during their studies. Kata Purity won an award for best female student, Muragijimana Jean Damascene for best male student and three awards went to the students who were voted most courageous. Rwamugema Frederick, Mukamazimpaka Tharcissie and Mukarusine Emma Kayitesi were all awarded for being brave and dedicated to their studies.
NCC Education coordinator, Mr Jerome Gasana, attended the graduation and was honoured to present the students with their awards and congratulate them on all their hard work.
“With the knowledge you received from NCC Education, you must be proud of your achievements, because you will have nothing but success in your life,” said Mr Jerome Gasana. “You must all be very proud of your achievements after showcasing great commitment and dedication to your studies, which will prove extremely valuable throughout your professional lives.”
The Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) has been an NCC Education Accredited Partner Centre for more than six years. For more information on the centre and the NCC Education programmes they run, please visit the KIST website.
