LearnIT's Student Picnic
LearnIT, Tanzania encourages their students to partake in many extra-curricular activities. This promotes team-building and improves student development.
On 12th May 2010 they held a picnic for 265 students and 19 teachers. This was to celebrate all the hard work and effort put in by both parties. This day was a brilliant way for students to relax and enjoy the day planned especially for them. It certainly looks like people thoroughly enjoyed the day from the photographs!
The party organisers also wanted to celebrate their three December 2009 High Achievers. Congratulations once again to:
- Hafsa Siddiq - Global IDB High Achiever
- Aisha Siddiq - Regional IDB High Achiever
- Salma Msean - Regional IADB High Achiever
LearnIT organise 12 activities and 2 picnics per year for students and staff, including inter-departmental competitions and social events. LearnIT feel it is very important to not just provide superior education, but also improve the quality of the whole student experience whilst students are studying.
Their philosophy is this: “Participation in these activities would complement and facilitate their academic studies while providing ways to socialize, relax, have fun and be revitalized, to face the day to day challenges.”
