Mohamed Farahani is currently studying IDCS at The Institute for Information Technology (IIT), Tanzania, in Dar Es Salaam. He chose to study with NCC Education, as it is recognised internationally, which will help him work in an international organisation, hopefully as a systems analyst. Mohamed plans to further his NCC Education degree journey with IADCS and then a degree in Computing and Information Systems. Mohamed chose to study at IIT, not just because of its location, but also the excellent facilities, the course content, and the professional tutors.

Mohamed is a highly ambitious student, who enjoys entering competitions. Recently, Google ran a campaign to find young African Entrepreneurs, which Mohamed entered into, with his business concept idea. His concept came from his work experienece in his school bookshop: “School Centre Complex Shop is a business idea to serve communities in the educational sector and all other areas whereby the uses of stationery are daily routine. This School Centre Complex Shop is more than a stationery shop or bookshop because it will include all stationery activities as well as bookshop activities at the same time, that’s why it is called School Centre Complex Shop.” Mohamed hopes to study business after his IT degree path, to help him implement his vision for the future.

Mohamed currently works as an IT personnel trainee whilst studying for Zantel in Tanzania. His duties include servicing and cleaning PCs, installing programmes onto PCs, installing and configuring printers. This practical training has enabled him to “learn and understand a lot about the working environment”.

When he is not studying Mohamed enjoys learning about foreign cultures, playing football and basketball, swimming and listening to music.

Good luck with your studies!
