Phyu Mon Theint has a passion for IT. She knew she wanted to pursue a globally recognised educational pathway, therefore chose to study NCC Education programmes at Myanmar Computer Company (MCC). The partnership between MCC and NCC Education enables students to gain a British education from their home country. They are also exposed to the British style teaching methods. Lessons at MCC are extremely interactive; they “emphasise on thinking rather than just lecturing.” Students are encouraged to proactively take part in lessons and partake in discussions, which heightens understanding. Phyu Mon Theint says that “lecturers at MCC recognise and appreciate a student’s creativity, “the programmes cover different dimensions and perspectives, keeping students away from flat thinking. When we learn about IT with NCC Education, we know much more about where these technologies are, and how they can be applied to the real-world.”

Phyu Mon Theint is currently working as a freelance web developer, and has many new projects. One major website she is working on is due to be launched in mid 2011. She feels that NCC Education played a major part in her decision “the programmes helped me realise where my true professionalism lies.”

Phyu Mon Theint has recently graduated from two universities. She was awarded First - class honours in the BSc (Hons) in Business Information Technology, awarded by the University of Greenwich, and a BA (Hons) in English at the Yangon University of Foreign Languages. “The University of Greenwich degree demanded more of a judgemental reasoning on the coursework, showing that I have complete understanding of the topic. Thanks to my experiences in IDCS and IADCS I had sufficient IT knowledge to cover technical issues, and I was already familiarised with the British education methods.”
